Marco Tulio has advised and litigated for over 25 years in various areas of the law before judicial courts and arbitral tribunals. Not only does he have extensive experience in Mexican procedural law, but he has also handled arbitration proceedings under the arbitration rules commonly applied in Mexico and around the world, such as the Arbitration Rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the Rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Rules of the Arbitration Center of Mexico (CAM), the Rules of Commercial Arbitration of the Center for Mediation and Arbitration of the National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO), and the Rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), among others.

Marco Tulio began his professional career initially focusing on amparo matters, and later on tax and administrative litigation, areas in which he has extensive experience in administrative proceedings, appeals before administrative authorities, and amparo proceedings challenging tax and administrative resolutions, as well as specific provisions or entire bodies of law.

Subsequently, Marco Tulio enhanced his professional practice by actively participating in various relevant international arbitrations between transnational companies, as well as between private companies and public entities. His experience includes his participation as counsel for at least 30 major international arbitration proceedings, which comprise some of the most significant in the history of Mexico in matters of energy and infrastructure.

Along with his intense activity in administrative litigation and arbitration, Marco Tulio has established an important civil and commercial litigation practice, which has led to his recognition as one of the best litigants in the country. He has represented several companies in Mexico’s local and federal courts in numerous disputes, with outstanding participation before judicial courts in more than 50 arbitration-related procedures (related to provisional measures and special lawsuits aimed at setting aside or achieving the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards).

Marco Tulio also has valuable experience in intellectual property litigation as well as in litigation related to consumer protection and advertising. Finally, he is also an expert in public tenders and has exceptional skills in contract negotiation processes.

With this blend of knowledge and experience, Marco Tulio has been able to successfully combine his track record for achieving the best results for his clients in a wide variety of substantive and procedural matters.
